WHAT WE ONCE HAD

Home

TANGLED WEB | WHAT WE ONCE HAD | UNTITLED | LAST NIGHT | CHERRY AVENUE | AM I FAKE?

What we once had could light a flame
in the coldest winter
a rainstorm's breeze
What we once had could chill a room
in a summer's heat
a humidity's gloom
What we once had could make you shiver
a menopause's hotflash
Periods' remember
What we once had could make you hot
ice cream and cold sodas
could chill it not

What we once had once made me smile
your lyrical words
holding me like a child
What we once had once made me laugh
you tickled my fancy
reminisced on the past
What we once had once made me sing
a passage of bliss
a proverb of peace
What we once had once made me cry
a wantonness sigh
that last kiss goodbye
