ARTIST STATEMENT

It is generally accepted that colour is a conveyor of
feelings, it can also possess mental sound, which is
different from articulate sound, hence such concepts
as ut Pictora Poesis or Muta Poesis suffixes as
variant forms of visual poetry.

From the above therefore, it becomes plausible to
harness the intrinsic communicative qualities of
colour and cause it to give mental voice of poetic
essence from written form to its visual cognate form.
Through a devolution of emotional content from written
to painted poetry a visual apotheosis of the former is
arrived at, as well as a hybridization of the text and
the visual form into what I call Plastic Poetry or
Artlyric as Barthosa Nkurumeh writes about.
The form of this work covers painting
on different surfaces, installations and drawings.
Herein are some poems by the artist.
